Mad Mary's Junk Yard

I like to repurpose junk and turn it into art. My current obsession is angles for your home and garden! Using old spindles, antique ceiling tin and rusty old junk. Creating is my passion and also my therapy!

  • SOLD! Round table that I found at a thrift store. Not sure what kind of wood it was, but it was really ugly. Used a Pottery Barn color called Bennington Gray and distressed it. It sold really quick.

  • SOLD: My boyfriend found this piece for me to refinish...spent hours cleaning it up and painting it in a shabby chic blue with distressing. I think it would be soooo cute in a baby's room or put it in that spare bedroom that doesn't have a closet! LOVE IT!! Measures 61"h x 40"w. 19"d. $195.00
  • Just finished refinishing my sisters oak coffee table! I love the antique red. Looks awesome with her dark leather Pottery Barn sectional!

  • SOLD! This black highboy chest of drawers was loaded with layers of black and white paint! I power sanded most of it off to give it a really old, primitive look. It would look great in a kitchen to store all of your table linens or use in a little boys room for socks and undies! Measures 44"H x 24"W x 14"D $60.00
  • SOLD! Here's an oak table that I found at a garage sale. The claw feet are painted in a color called Jet Black (a really dark chocolate color) and the top is painted in a Pottery Barn color called Jute. I applied an antique glaze over it. It has some flaws in the wood that give the piece character. I LOVE THIS PIECE!! $85.00

About Me

My photo
Mad Mary
I've raised two daugthers who are now off at college and I'm starting a new chapter in my life. Went back to work full-time but in my spare time I love walking, boating, spending time in my yard and garden and tinkering in my garage painting neglected pieces of furniture. I love the idea of not buying new and recycling an old dresser, desk or table etc..... the thrill of heading out to garage sales and getting that GREAT find!! I'm not happy if I don't have a project. My recent obsession is making angels for your home and garden.
