Mad Mary's Junk Yard

I like to repurpose junk and turn it into art. My current obsession is angles for your home and garden! Using old spindles, antique ceiling tin and rusty old junk. Creating is my passion and also my therapy!

So why is it that I can't find any dressers to fix up?  There are none to be found at thrift stores or garage sales!  :(  ugh!  I'm ...
  • I have two oak tables just waiting for a new home! Will paint and refinish them any way you want. Start your family traditions around one of these tables. One table has three leaves. Another option would be to shorten the base and use as a coffee table. ( I added photos of tables that I have refinished)
  • SOLD: The twins are done! And the color is gorgeous! Dusty Olive by Behr. They measure 39" tall. $125.00
  • So I found this small oak pedestal table at a garage sale and the top was in pretty bad shape. I completely stripped the top and power sanded the base and legs. Cleaned it up really good with TSP Cleaner. (I love that stuff) Now it is ready to be painted.
  • SOLD! I had this table in my house for years....it originally had a dark finish on it that I stripped off and left it natural looking. Recently painted it in a Bennington Gray, distressed it and put an antique glaze over it.

About Me

My photo
Mad Mary
I've raised two daugthers who are now off at college and I'm starting a new chapter in my life. Went back to work full-time but in my spare time I love walking, boating, spending time in my yard and garden and tinkering in my garage painting neglected pieces of furniture. I love the idea of not buying new and recycling an old dresser, desk or table etc..... the thrill of heading out to garage sales and getting that GREAT find!! I'm not happy if I don't have a project. My recent obsession is making angels for your home and garden.
